SALC's mission, as a nonprofit organization registered in Illinois, is to provide national leadership in advancing the professional, educational, cultural, and civic interests of the Serbian-American community; developing a broader network of Serbian-American leaders and professionals; coordinating efforts of community members and organizations towards our common objectives; enhancing the knowledge and appreciation for the contributions of Serbian-Americans in our society; preserving our shared culture, history, and Christian Orthodox faith; facilitating Serbian-American involvement in the American political process, including the exercise of our constitutional right to vote in the interests of the Serbian-American community; providing comprehensive and unbiased information regarding issues affecting or otherwise of importance to the Serbian-American community; and continuing our unwavering commitment to defending the civil and religious liberties of all.
